Children at St John's Milford

Age Group 3-11: Eagles

Eagles in action

The Eagles,

The Eagles, our children's club for 3-11 year olds, is still postponed until further notice. (The group members are currently contacted by email with activities, speak to Penny Clark  if you would like to be added to the list.)

However, we will be holding a Good Friday workshop at 10am on 15th April. See the flyer for further details.

Eagles normally meet in the church centre at St John's during the 10am service every Sunday during term-time (apart from the second Sunday of the month when we all stay together in church for the Family Communion).

Children start with their family in church, then go out to their Eagles group at the end of the first hymn in the service and return to their family in time for communion.

They have fun doing a variety of activities, usually linked to the readings for the day, and then show the congregation their results at the end of the service. They prepare songs, poems or plays to share on special occasions such as Harvest, Christmas and Mothering Sunday.

This group is led by Penny Clark, Karon Sewell and Jackie Hills.

Messy Church

Messy Church is held roughly twice a term 4-6pm on a Saturday afternoon, in Milford Village Hall. It is organised in conjunction with Milford Baptist church.

***Note: This club has not yet restarted after covid arrangements***

As children arrive they will find a range of messy activities set up, for them to try out during the first hour of the event. We then have 20 minutes of story and song, followed by tea.
